[Despite it being late morning, Amal shows up at the door to August's place bearing gifts: a greasy bag of fries, and a plastic bag with fresh pastries in it, as well as a container of raspberries. He's dressed in a long fur coat, but only the gods know what he's wearing underneath; he has gold gladiator heels on.
[It's Julian who gets the door, having shifted to a larger size to to it and then shrinking back down so he can let Amal in.]

[Of gown, as he's finishing setting up two of the emergency dresses on the dressforms so Amal can look at them. one is a bit more modest (and in dark blue) but the other is not especially.]
[Amal helpfully opens the bag of fries and sets them on the table so that Julian can get at them. He also leaves the container of berries open close by for the other familiar he hasn't met yet, and leaves the pastries in the plastic bag.
Then he sets his eyes on the dressforms, and his eyes widen.]
Holy hells. Those are both gorgeous and way, way more eye-catching than what I had planned...
[He strips off the fur coat and leaves it hanging on the back of a chair. Obviously he came over in a hurry because he's wearing Basically A Nightgown and hot pants underneath, not that he's ashamed of August seeing him half naked. This is like, his default state.
He inspects both, gently feeling the fabric between his fingers and tugging a little at the hips.]
How much do you think I can get away with? Because I really like this teal one.
Honestly? It's you, you can get away with damn near anything as long as it's close to the dress code. Go for the teal if you want it, you'll look unfairly hot.
[Amal looks a little surprised at the compliment, but then he grins.]

I'll take the teal, then. I promise I'll bring it back in the condition it's in now. [He examines the waist.] Hmm... I might need you to tuck in the waist a little so the hips aren't falling off me. I'll pay whatever you want when I'm back.
Rental's just a hundred bucks, if you want to buy it this one'll be a hundred fifty because that material is a bitch to work with. But okay, go put this on so I can figure out where the hips waist needs to be.
