August is older than him, they've only known each other a few years-- and most of the time Jun was keeping him at arms length. Hell even now he still struggles with it. So of course it's completely understandable that August would view someone else as his best friend.
However despite all that logic, there is still a part of Jun's emotions that are much closer to this. An impulse he is doing his VERY BEST to quash.]

Do not ask how long I've liked him, it is disgusting. [At least he's honest.] And no, being my other best friend does not give you teasing me about that rights, before you ask. You get kinkshaming rights, not tease me about my crush rights.
[It's funny, just thinking of that memory makes him feel happy. Or rather, it's the first memory he recalls getting that had happiness associated with. The rest hadn't had any real noticeable feelings attached. ]
