It's the City of Freedom. I'd say it's ruled by the Ameno Archon Barbatos, but he takes a backseat and lets the people govern themselves. It's...about as far as you can get from Inazuma, in that way.
If I had to pick an Earth country, I'd say it's a lot like Germany culturally. They really love their music and alcohol there too.
...you know, one day I will remember to give context for the shit I say.
[No he won't.]
Anyway, basically demons invaded my hometown and in the space of like a week I [as if he's reading off a list] learned demons exist, learned that I was the only person who didn't know they existed in my very small social circle, learned I am half-demon, learned my mom who I thought dead is just stuck in Hell thanks Dad and-or hellish politics still not sure which is causing that, got two demon aunts, learned how to transform thanks to one of those demon aunts, had like a full on anime training sequence in a pocket dimension of Hell again thanks to the demon aunts, and then stopped the demons from invading Solor. With help, obviously.
...Wow. I knew America had a rather lively Underground scene, but it seems the rumors doesn't do it justice. [Who knew the midwest had such a thriving gay demon community. Wild]
But that explains a lot about you. It sounds like you were throw immediately into the deep end, so no wonder you're clueless about most stuff.
[August gestures for Jun to sit down, moving his snack to the side (and away from Julian) before he gets his deck out and starts shuffling.]
Just a standard past-present-future reading, three cards, pretty basic. What I get from the cards will be different from what someone else gets, and the future card isn't set in stone.
[Shuffle, shuffle, deal, and the first card is:]
Upright Tower? [Good lord, Jun.] So, at some point in your past--distant past, not so distant past, I'm not sure--there was something that lead to a massive and sudden change. Something happened and you had a moment where you were just "oh fuck" and something had to give right then or something was going to break. Could have been an illness, could have been an accident, could have had a sudden emotional insight. Any of that's fair game.

Try to kill you...?
[Is that for real or is August being dramatic considering it's Lutha it's so hard to tell]
no subject
Not. Not literally.

Oh thank God. I was worried.

[Anyway.]
God, I hope we get through this.
no subject
We will. We have to get back to Earth, after all.

My friend Shiori would probably love to see this world too.

[Quoting Marianne there.]
Also after Inazuma I need a break.

[So she's not wrong there!]
Mm, I understand. The situation here is a little intense, even by my standards.

So I heard you can do tarot card readings.

Sure, why not? I'm a little curious what it'll say.
[He's had one before. It's vague enough where it shouldn't give away anything he wants secret]
